Sunart suppers was started in September 2006 by the husband and wife team of Jon & Jac Crosbie.
The business is operated from the Ardnamurchan Natural History & Visitors Centre which is owned by Jac's parents, Ritchie & Liz Dinnes.
All of our meals are hand made on the premises with no additives or preservatives. These are supplied frozen in foil containers for reheating in the oven at your convenience either from frozen or defrosted.
We strive to use the freshest local ingredients and are always on the look out for suppliers located as near to us as possible; current suppliers include Mull butchers (Glengorm Estate lamb), MacBeths (Highland Venison, Highland beef), Ardnamushrooms (Shiitake mushrooms) & Shielfoot Organics (fruit and veg). We believe in the slow food movement and this is reflected in our cooking style and approach to re-heating our meals.
The Sunart Suppers kitchen is housed in the building known as the "Deer Larder", a building once used to process the deer culled on the Ardnamurchan estate. The kitchen is equipped with the latest technology in blast chilling, ensuring the meals are chilled down to 3 degrees centigrade in a safe and hygienic way and in the shortest time possible. This also prevents the food cooking for longer than it needs and means that when you sit down to eat your meal it's almost as if it's just been cooked.
